The head is drop forged out of high carbon steel with a heavy steel toothed head. This means the point of the spike and enormous hammer face are fully hardened so they can pierce and crush tough materials without failing while the rest of the hammer is left soft to absorb the shock of heavy blows. The handle of our War Hammer has been designed to be equally tough. Made of natural brown wood, the handle extends an enormous 21 1/4 inch long it provides tremendous leverage so enormously powerful blows may be struck. We have also added a 2 1/4 inch spike cap at the end of the handle, helping to protect the soldier from all attacks. At the top of the head is a 3 1/2 inch spike, enabling the wielder to use this hammer as a thrusting weapon. Looks like it should be behind glass in a museum!
